Marketing Manager

Role Purpose

We have big ambitions for growth and are seeking a talented B2B marketer to help us take the business to the next level.

As marketing manager, you will own several areas of the marketing strategy and will be responsible for translating the strategy into solid plans that drive result, and ensuring the team’s effective delivery to plan.

You will have a real appetite for B2B marketing, including customer communications, lead acquisition activity and event management.

This role will deputise for the Head of Marketing as required, so should be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the annual campaign and events plan and the quarterly

    communications planner

  • Ensuring the team’s delivery to plan, and being ‘hands on’ in the delivery

  • Ownership of social media channels

  •  Working with the brand creative manager to launch the new main brand

    campaign

  • Line management of two direct reports

  • Writing strong and compelling content

  • Customer communications

  • Sales toolkit ownership, including sales collateral and presentation content

  • Ownership of content for brochures, product overviews etc (including new

    products)

  • Keeping website current and refreshed - working with the Brand Creative

    Manager to deliver a smooth visitor journey, and with the wider team and

    third party digital agencies to optimise website conversion rates and drive web

    traffic

  •  Proof-reading and approval of marketing materials

  • Co-ordination of customer event delivery

  •  Managing MSite’s presence at exhibitions

  •  Ownership of customer e-shot activity and automated lead nurture

  •  Briefing creative and writing copy

  •  Reporting on activity

  •  Management and development of more junior members of the team

  • Supporting the Head of Marketing as required

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • A relevant degree or CIM qualification

  •  Strong content planning and writing skills

  •  Excellent planning skills

  •  Campaign management

  •  Event management

  •  Line management

  • At least five years of marketing experience

  • At least two years experience at manager level

  • Working closely with senior management

  • Campaign planning and delivery

  • CMS and CRM systems

  • Content planning

  • Content creation

  • Copy writing

  • Proof-reading and approving creative

Desirable 

  • Tech or construction sector experience 
  • B2B marketing expereience
