Duration: 18 months
Value: £20 million
MSite is being used in the construction of a new motorway service area next to the M6 junction in Rugby. The £20 million scheme utilises the MSite Workforce App and Pre-enrolment functionality to manage the workforce and site operations.
"I feel the main difference between MSite and other solutions, is that MSite gives me more of a platform where I can log on and view data on various projects. I can easily flick between projects, viewing information on inductions, workers on site and other KPI’s instantly"

Site Engineer, Vinci construction
The new service station is situated adjacent to the M6, so ensuring the site is secure and every worker on it has the correct training is paramount. In order to meet these standards, Vinci opted for two MSite PODs, the MSite Workforce App and MSite Online Inductions software. The MSite POD’s securely manage site access, automatically restricting access rights of any unauthorised personnel.
By using MSite Online Inductions software, Vinci can send ‘invites’ to their own and sub-contractor workforce to pre-register themselves before arrival on site. Speaking on the project, Muzamil Shaikh, Site Engineer at Vinci said; “Using MSite Inductions we can send out requests and get workers to pre-register themselves before they arrive on site, which makes our jobs a lot easier. I feel the main difference between MSite and other the solutions, is that MSite gives more of a platform feel, in that I can log on and view data on various projects. I can easily flick between projects, viewing information on inductions, workers on site and other KPI’s instantly”
It’s been ‘business as usual’ during the construction of the service station, with any disruptions to site operations due to the pandemic mitigated by the MSite Workforce App. Any potential site closures or delays have been offset, with construction set to finish on time early 2021. The MSite Workforce App provides operatives with contactless site entry, using their personal phones’ biometrics to validate identity. Once verified, operatives can use their phone as a virtual contactless card that interacts with MSite Devices to grant access and record attendance.
Muzamil Shaikh went on to say; “One thing we’ve really benefited from is the ongoing support which comes with MSite. I can literally call up MSite in a couple of minutes, and an MSite will be down to site within the next 2 days - they’re very responsive.”
